Sound Art
Sound is a direct line to emotion and memory. My work uses electroacoustic music to build a world for the listener, drawing on the foundational techniques of musique concrète and modern synthesis. By abstracting recognizable, real-world sounds through digital processing, my most recent project creates a narrative where the listener is an active participant by moving through environments as sound evolves around and through them.
In my recent piece, acarridewithmymomin2009, I strove to transcend personal background and communicate themes of nostalgia and auditory sensitivity, inviting you to find your own meaning in the textures, spaces, and stories within the sounds.
